Superb English boat furniture from the early 20th century.
Each of these 6 swivel seats is made of mahogany and brass. On the base rotates a mahogany wheel whose slightly rounded edge rests against a brass element secured by four screws. The seat is hollowed out on the inside, with a slight movement in the center. It rests on a wide cylindrical brass shaft, the lower part of which features a large collar fixed to a solid mahogany circular base.
At the top, the trapezoid-shaped backrest is held in place at the top by a cylindrical brass element returning on either side of the seat. This brass section is recessed into the half-round screw back. The steel section under the seat pivots in relation to the central barrel, and can be removed if required.
