Dieser originale Mid-Century Lounge Chair FD 164 wurde in den 1960er-Jahren von Arne Vodder entworfen und von France & Son in Dänemark produziert. Der dänische Designer zählt zu den prägenden Gestaltern der skandinavischen Moderne, und dieses Modell ist ein herausragendes Beispiel für seine funktional-elegante Handschrift.
Der Sessel überzeugt durch seine hohe, verstellbare Rückenlehne, die sich in mehreren Stufen bis fast in eine Liegeposition neigen lässt – ideal für entspanntes Zurücklehnen. Die geschwungenen Armlehnen aus massivem Teakholz sind fein gearbeitet und bieten eine angenehme Haptik.
Die neuen Polsterkissen wurden mit frischem Schaumstoff gefüllt und mit hochwertigem Coda-Stoff vom dänischen Premiumhersteller Kvadrat bezogen – ein robuster Wollstoff mit charaktervoller Textur.
Der Sessel ist hochwertig verarbeitet – sowohl in der Konstruktion als auch in den Materialien – und befindet sich in einem sehr guten, stabilen Vintage-Zustand. Das Teakholz wurde überarbeitet und weist nur leichte Gebrauchsspuren auf, wie kleine Kratzer, Verfärbungen oder Bestoßungen. Der Staubschutz unter den Kissen wurde ebenfalls erneuert.

This original Mid-Century FD 164 lounge chair was designed by Arne Vodder in the 1960s and manufactured by France & Son in Denmark. Vodder was a leading figure of Scandinavian modernism, and this model perfectly embodies his signature blend of function and elegance.
The chair features a high, adjustable backrest that reclines in multiple positions – nearly to a lounging angle – offering exceptional comfort. The sculpted teak armrests are beautifully crafted and pleasant to the touch.
The cushions have been newly upholstered with fresh foam and covered in Coda fabric by Danish premium manufacturer Kvadrat – a textured wool blend known for durability and refined appearance.
This chair is expertly built, with solid construction and premium materials, and is in very good vintage condition, showing only minor signs of wear, such as light scratches, small discolorations, and edge wear to the wood. The dust cover beneath the cushions has been renewed, and the teak surfaces have been carefully refreshed.
