Product description
Set of 2 identical table lamps - Boccato-Gigante-Zambusi Architetti for Sicart
Very rare and exclusive. Especially as a set of 2 in perfect condition.
In 1946 the ceramic factory "S.I.C.A." (Società Italiana Ceramica Artistica - Italian Society for Artistic Ceramics) was founded in Nove, in the province of Vicenza by G. Battista Cogo, Giovanni Grappiglia, Stefano Guzzo and Angelo Perin. In 1953 Cobo and Grappiglia left the company and production continued, thanks to Guzzo and Perin, until 1969, when the two owners also divided the company into "S.I.C.A.R.T" and "C.A.I." Among the employees of the factory we remember Cesare Sartori and Angelo Spagnolo, as well as Boccato, Gigante & Zambusi.
Marilena Boccato and Gian Nicola Gigante both graduated in architecture from IUAV, the University Institute of Architecture of Venice. They studied with De Carlo, Belgiojoso, Albini, Gardella, Samonà, Scarpa and Zevi, among others. In the 1970s they participated in the group Archstudio, with Antonio Zambusi. They have been members of the Ordine degli Architetti of the Province of Treviso since 1967 and 1963, respectively. Their professional work follows two different lines: architecture on the one hand (construction of public and private buildings (residential or industrial) and on the other hand the renovation of buildings of historical value. In the field of industrial design, they have realized projects for major companies that have received international awards. Boccato and Gigante have directly contributed to the development and prominence of Italian design. The large number of products designed by these two architects testifies to their great passion for their profession. Their new construction & renovation projects have been published very often in the most important specialized magazines.
Antonio Zambusi, born in Padua in 1937, graduated in Venice in 1962 and is a member of the Ordine degli Architetti of Padua. He works in the fields of renovation, new construction, interior design, industrial and urban planning.
