Beautiful and rare set of two original Thonet Cosmos No. 124 chairs. These chairs are made of bentwood in the classic Art Nouveau style and were designed after the model of Michael Thonet. Produced in Poland by Cosmos under license from Thonet, presumably in the period 1910-1930.
The woodwork shows the characteristic Thonet design, with rich pressed decor in both the seat and back. Under the seat, the chairs feature the original label as well as a stamped brand name: COSMOS - Made in Poland.
