Stunning, vintage, mid-century, Italian serving tray with a "faux rosewood" formica finish and gilted brass decor with two handles, circa 1950s - 1960s. This lovely piece is in overall, very good, original and vintage condition with some light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure, tray, edges, handles, and beneath the tray, as can be expected for a piece of this age (see photos). The formica tray has a gorgeous "faux" rosewood effect with minuscule signs of age, use and traces of time, but nothing blatantly noticeable (see photos). The tray has a maker’s mark sticker underneath: "Modello e Marchio Depositati", which stands for the registered trademark (see photos). Per the label itself, we learned that this tray is an earlier edition, because as of the 1970s, the labels changed to the English language that said "Patent, Made in Italy." A nice conversation piece, that is light and functions perfectly as it was designed. Great to use however, or wherever one chooses. It has only been gently dusted and cleaned, with respect to its original patina of time. All photos taken in natural, indoor light, so colors may vary based upon brightness, reflections, angles, and perspective in which they are viewed.
