Product description
Magnificent series of four Ant chairs designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1952.
The original objective of creating this chair was to furnish the cafeteria of the Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk in Copenhagen.
This lightweight, stackable, and ergonomic chair was designed to fit into a modern and functional space.
Arne Jacobsen drew inspiration from organic forms found in nature, particularly that of an ant, to create the chair's characteristic curved and fluid lines.
This series has the distinction of being tripod-based, making it slightly rarer than the quadripods. It's clear from the metal frame that this is one of the first editions.
As you can see from the photos and video, this chair shows many signs of wear. It is, of course, a 1950s chair, so it has seen a lot of use. It is in perfect used condition but shows significant signs of use.
It is therefore in magnificent vintage condition.
Some reel signs of use due to the wear of time . It s ajn original serie from 1950s so it s not in perfect shape . Have a look on the detailed pictures
