A rare set of Pirkka lounge chairs designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara and produced by Laukaan Puu in Finland, 1955.
These two low lounge chairs are a rare find and from the Pirkka series the only model that is not put back into production.
The chairs have a solid pine seat and backrest, black lacquered legs and back supports. Both chairs are branded with the Laukaan Puu stamp to the underside. In addition, one of the chairs has De Bijenkorf Amsterdam retailers label taped to the underside.
