A beautiful series of 6 teak "Compass" chairs by Kai Kristiansen for SVA Møbler, Denmark, 1960's.
This series of chairs has been entirely upholstered in white chenille fabric and reupholstered, giving it a modern touch. The frame is in raw teak. The combination of teak frame and white chenille fabric lends finesse to this "Compass" model.
Kai Kristiansen (b. 1929) is a famous Danish designer known for his minimalist, functional furniture. Influenced by Scandinavian design, he emphasized natural materials such as wood and clean lines. His creations are synonymous with quality and timeless elegance.
