Pierre Jeanneret's most famous pieces of furniture are certainly those in the LC collection, designed in collaboration with Charlotte Perriand and Le Corbusier. The sofas, armchairs and lounge chairs are timeless pieces thanks to their modernity. Pierre Jeanneret was born in Geneva in 1896. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Geneva. He later moved to Paris and worked with Gustave and Auguste Perret for a year (1921-1922). He soon began collaborating with his cousin Le Corbusier. In 1926, they published "Cinq Points vers une Nouvelle Architecture", a manifesto that was to play a major role in their architectural work, as evidenced by their construction of the Villa Savoye (1928-1931). In 1929, Jeanneret, Le Corbusier and Perriand presented a whole range of modern furniture at the Salon d'Automne in Paris. Jeanneret's role in Le Corbusier's construction projects is sometimes downplayed, but his work was a decisive factor in the work of his famous cousin.
