Product description

Set of three beautiful hand-painted vases in Japanese Satsuma style with richly detailed geisha decor, gold accents and relief in moriage technique: raised decoration with enamel and gold paint. The set consists of two smaller baluster vases (15 cm high) and one larger centerpiece vase (20 cm high). All three show geisha figures surrounded by ornate aureoles, with vibrant colors and sophisticated patterns. Including one female figure in warm colors, and two male figures in shades of blue and green. The underside of the small vases bears a typical Showa export mark (presumably from the Mizuno company), indicating a production date between c. 1950 and 1970. The large vase has a gold-marked base, probably produced in the early Showa period (ca. 1930-1950). A rare set for lovers of vintage ceramics and oriental interiors.
