Roger LECAL

After studying graphic arts at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Lecal worked for advertising agencies before setting up his own design agency in 1958.

During the 1960s, Lecal became famous for his colorful, graphic posters, as well as for his furniture designs, often made from inexpensive materials such as plywood.

In the 1970s, Lecal continued to work on interior design projects, notably for hotels and restaurants. He also designed home accessories such as mirrors and clocks.

Today, Roger Lecal's creations are considered classics of modern French design and are exhibited in museums around the world, including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
