He began his career working for design and architecture agencies in Milan, before founding his own design studio, Lissoni Associati, in 1986. Since then, he has worked for many internationally renowned brands in the furniture, fashion, hospitality and architecture sectors. Among Lissoni's best-known projects are the design of the "S44" chair for the German company Thonet, the renovation of the luxury Conservatorium hotel in Amsterdam, the creation of the "Extra Soft" furniture line for Living Divani, and the interior design of The Middle House hotel in Shanghai. Lissoni has won numerous awards over the years, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award and the Compasso d'Oro. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Milan's Salone del Mobile, one of the world's leading design fairs.
