During the 1950s and 1960s, Helge Sibast designed many iconic pieces of furniture for the company, including the Sibast No. 8 chair, which has become one of his most famous designs. The No. 8 chair is a wooden chair with clean lines and a woven rope seat. Sibast was known for his meticulous approach to design, focusing on detail and manufacturing quality. He was also a pioneer in the use of modern materials such as plywood and plastic. Over the years, Sibast won numerous awards for his designs, including the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale in 1951 and the Gold Medal at the Brussels International Exhibition in 1958. Today, Helge Sibast's creations are still highly appreciated worldwide for their quality and timeless elegance. The Sibast Furniture brand was relaunched in 2012 by his grandson, giving new life to the brand's classic designs.
