During the 50s, some ceramists came to Vallauris to create, including André Braud. He is one of the artists of the Vallauris golden age. His ceramics has been exhibited in France but also in the United-States, in Australia, in Quebec etc.
André Baud was born in 1903 in France. He studied at the Beaux Arts of Bourges (School of Arts) and received a prize for one of his ceramic creation. He is also graduated of the School of arts applied to Industry. He won a medal during the International Exposition of Decorative arts. He settled in Vaullauris then he bought a factory to beginning ceramics production which closed in 1969 because of financial problem. However, he decided to pursue his career. His work has been exhibited in a French Castle.
