He has worked for a number of renowned French companies, including Air France, RATP and Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, where he contributed to the design of ship interiors. He is particularly well known for his work with the Radiola TV brand, for whom he created the famous "Le Major" portable TV in 1967. This compact, elegant TV set became emblematic of the aesthetics of the 60s. Pierre Giraudon also taught industrial design at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and was a founding member of the Association pour le Design Industriel (ADI) in 1951. He won numerous awards during his career, including the Grand Prix National de la Création Industrielle in 1976.
