Jean NOUVEL

Nouvel studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, graduating in 1972. After working briefly with architect Claude Parent, he founded his own agency, Ateliers Jean Nouvel, in 1970.

Over the course of his career, Jean Nouvel has designed and built many iconic architectural projects around the world. His most famous achievements include the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, the Louvre Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, the Agbar Tower in Barcelona, the Philharmonie de Paris and the Fondation Cartier in Paris.

His work is distinguished by its use of modern, innovative materials, and by his concern for the harmonious integration of his buildings into their environment. He is also known for his conceptual approach, in which each project is conceived in relation to its historical, cultural and environmental context.

Jean Nouvel's achievements have earned him numerous distinctions and awards, including the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2008. He is also an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects and the Académie des Beaux-Arts de France.

Jean Nouvel continues to innovate and push the boundaries of architecture with new projects around the world. His inspiring work and artistic vision have made him one of the most influential and respected designers of his generation.
