Raul BARBIERI & Giorgio MARIANELLI

Their real collaboration began in 1984 with the design of the Coriandoli line for Zucchetti, and continued with the creation of the Zetamix 3000 mixer. Together, they also designed the "Flu" desk lamp. These pieces were a great success. Biography Barbieri and Marianelli both graduated in architecture from Milan Polytechnic. In the early 70s, they opened an architectural practice together, which closed in 1989. Barbieri has collaborated with numerous schools, including the European Design Institute in Milan and the Ecole Nationale Supérieur de la Création Industrielle (ENSCI) in Paris, while running his own practice. He is the designer of the Oscar series (1994). In 1995, Marianelli founded Marianelli Design with architect Cesare Torno. He has taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Wroclaw, Poland, as well as at ENSCI. He is the creator of the Delfi, Metropolis and Nemo collections, pieces dating from the 90s.
