In the 1950s, Étienne-Henri Martin began working for the French ceramics manufacturer Villeroy & Boch. He created many modern designs for the company, including plates, cups, vases and dishes. His work is characterized by geometric patterns, bright colors and a minimalist style. In addition to his work for Villeroy & Boch, Étienne-Henri Martin has also created pieces for other companies, such as porcelain manufacturers Bernardaud and Raynaud. His creations have been exhibited in art and design museums around the world, including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In addition to his work in ceramics, Étienne-Henri Martin was also active in other fields of design, notably interior architecture and furniture. He also painted and sculpted, exploring a wide range of artistic mediums throughout his career. Today, he is recognized as one of the most influential designers of his time, having made a significant contribution to the evolution of modern design in France.
