André DUBREUIL

A prolific and talented artist, he created the "Spine" chair (1986). Today, this model is an iconic piece featured in numerous design encyclopedias and museums. It perfectly illustrates his unique style and his taste for materials and shapes. Biography André Dubreuil was born in France in 1951. After several internships with antique dealers, he flew to England, where he stayed for ten years. He studied drawing at the Inchbald School of Design, while working in the nightlife industry. He met many artists, including designers. Following his studies, he landed a job with a decorating agency. He then met Tom Dixon and Mark Brazier Jones, with whom he developed a taste for the soldering iron. He then turned his attention to copper, steel and enamel... In 1978, at an exhibition held in Paris at the Galerie Néotu, he met Gladys Mougin, who was to become his agent. Above all, André Dubreuil is considered a true artist and craftsman.
