Oscar TUSQUETS

After studying architecture at Barcelona's Higher Technical School of Architecture, Tusquets began his career as an architect in the studio of his compatriot and mentor, the renowned Catalan architect Josep Antoni Coderch. He also worked closely with Spanish painter and sculptor Salvador Dalí for several years, which had a notable influence on his approach to design.

Over the years, Tusquets has developed a multidisciplinary career, focusing on various areas of design, including furniture, decorative objects, interior architecture and urban planning. He founded his own design studio, Tusquets, Díaz & Associates, in 1964, which has become a major player on the Spanish design scene.

Oscar Tusquets' most notable achievements include architectural and interior design projects for iconic buildings in Spain, such as the Joan Miró Foundation Museum in Barcelona, the National Theatre of Catalonia and the Parc de la Villette in Paris. He has also designed furniture and decorative objects that have won numerous awards and been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world.

In addition to his work as a designer, Oscar Tusquets is also a prolific writer. He has published several books on design and architecture, as well as essays on subjects related to art and culture. His writings have contributed to enriching reflection and debate on design in Spain and abroad.

Today, Oscar Tusquets is considered one of Spain's most influential designers. His innovative approach and distinctive aesthetic have earned him international recognition and a prominent place in the world of design.
