After working for several design and architecture agencies in Italy, Ramella founded his own design studio in 1981, specializing in the design of industrial and interior products. He has worked with many renowned Italian companies, such as B&B Italia, Cassina, and Artemide, and has won several international awards for his creations. Ramella is known for his minimalist, functional approach to design, and his skilful use of materials such as glass, metal and wood. He was also a visiting professor at several universities and design schools in Italy and abroad. Pier Giuseppe Ramella died in 2015 at the age of 66, leaving behind him an important legacy in the world of Italian design.
