In 1928, he began working for the Danish ceramics company Holmegaard, where he created several famous pieces, including the "Jacob Bang" glass series, which remains popular today. He also designed lamps, vases and decanters for Holmegaard. In the 1950s, Bang worked for other ceramic manufacturers, including Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grøndahl. He was also a professor at the Royal Danish School of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Bang is considered one of the most important Danish designers of his generation, and his work is widely exhibited in Danish and international museums.
