Martinelli Luce

Martinelli Luce represents more than fifty years of history dedicated to the production of lamps and lighting systems. The Martinelli Luce Company was founded in 1950 thanks to Elio Martinelli's intuition. He starts producing lamps for interiors, and became more and more interested in domestic use. Martinelli Luce lightings have an essential design and a great conceptual originality, elements that have been at the heart of the company's philosophy for three generations. It is from nature and geometry that Elio Martinelli draws his inspiration and creates functional lightings. This is how lamps such as the Foglia, Bolla, Serpent, Millepiedi, Dobermann, Rondini, Nuvole Vagabonde were born. Simple shapes whose deep meaning has marked the history of design. Some of these devices, such as Cobra designed by Elio Martinelli, as well as others such as the Pipistrello and the Ruspa, designed by the architect Gae Aulenti, are kept in the most important design museums. Year after year, Martinelli Luce's range has been enriched with new products such as the Poliedro lamp, the Profiterolle, the Shanghai, the Colibrì, the Circular, the Lunaop, the Elica, the Calabrone, the Fluida, the Cyborg, while preserving a good number of historical products that represent the expression of Italian design in the 1960s and 1970s. This is how the company presents an important and always very up-to-date collection.
