Product description
A very large-format floor sculpture known as "Asteroid" or "Sea Urchin", commonly attributed to the Curtis Jere collective (Jerry Fels & Curtis Freiler), active in the USA from the 1960s-70s. The work consists of a dense array of stainless steel tubes welded into a spherical sheaf. A sculptural sculpture, graphic and spectacular, evoking the organic forms of sea urchins or solar explosions. Rare in its XXL format, this piece is both a design object and a work of decorative art from the American Mid - Century Modern movement.
