The ’King Chair’ is a high-class swivel lounge chair which was designed by French designer André Vandenbeuck for Strässle of Switzerland in the 1960s. This leather lounge chair features a tufted backrest, armrests of solid wood, and comes with a frame of steel. The piece is from the first production series with the slimline star-shaped base. André Vandenbeuck was a Belgian designer born on February 6, 1922 in Ixelles and died on February 4, 2014 in De Haan. He is best known for his work as an automotive designer for the French Facel Vega brand in the 1950s and 1960s.
