About this vintage design furniture

Sofa model 540 in metal and red woolen fabric by Gijs VAN DER SLUIS from the 60s. Structure and frame in dark lacquered metal, seating and backrest covered with a red woolen fabric. The seating can be pulled forward really easily, and the sofa becomes a one person bed. Manufactured by Van der Sluis Furniture Company. Good vintage condition.

Gijs VAN DER SLUIS

Geert Van Der Sluis (1941-2008) was a Dutch designer specializing in office furniture. He studied furniture design at the Groningen School of Art in the Netherlands, where he later taught for several years.
