About this vintage design furniture
Set of four beech dining room chairs designed by the Austrian architect Roland Rainer for the Vienna City Hall in 1952. These stackable mid-century chairs are made of beech wood and bent plywood. Normal traces of use for this age (more than 50 years old) and some veneer repairs. These chairs have been cleaned and the legs are again painted black.

About the designer
Roland RAINER
Roland Rainer was an Austrian architect and designer who was born in 1910 and died in 2004. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and began his career working for the Austrian architect Clemens Holzmeister.
