About this vintage design furniture
Tizio table lamp designed by Richard Sapper for the Italian company Artemide. Richard Sapper designed this Tizio table lamp in 1972. It has been selected for the Compasso d’Oro Industrial design award in 1979. The Tizio lamp is part of the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and of the Museum of Modern Art. The lamp is in excellent condition with almost no wear.

About the designer
Richard SAPPER
1932 - 2015Richard Sapper was a German industrial designer who was born in Munich in 1932 and died in Milan in 2015. After studying engineering in Munich, he worked for several design companies, including Mercedes-Benz and Siemens, before becoming an independent designer in the 1960s.
