Vintage armchair by Kurt Olsen for Slagelse Mobelvaerk - 1950s
About this vintage design furniture
Designed for Slagelse Møbelvaerk, Denmark, in 1955 by Kurt Olsen. The model 230 chair has a slightly fanned back that follows the natural contour of the users back. Constructed from a frame of solid oak, it has solid teak arm rests, similar to Hans Wegners GE240 "Cigar Chair". The chair still has its original springs and fabric upholstery, giving an authentic 1950’s Scandinavian style.
