About this vintage design furniture
Kilimanjaro Table lamp (mod: D-2136.00) designed by Sergio Asti for Raak in 1978. The name comes from a mountain area in Tanzania. Unique because the tropical sun at the foot is combined with snow on top. Condition: very good, minimal chip is missing along the edge (see photos). Material: glass. Colour White. Marked: Raak (see pictures). Source: Raak catalogue 11, page 118.

Sergio Asti was an Italian designer born in Milan in 1926 and died in 2021. He studied at Milan Polytechnic and began his career in the 1950s working for industrial design companies including Kartell and Cassina.
