Eames DSW Chair by Fehlbaum for Herman Miller - 1970, Leather Seat and Fiber Shell
This original Eames DSW chair was produced in 1970 by Fehlbaum, under license from Herman Miller. The iconic shell is made of fiber-reinforced plastic (fiberglass), with the characteristic visible fiberglass structure - an early and popular production feature that later became rarer.
A special feature of this one is the leather seat, which adds extra comfort and luxury to the design without compromising the clean lines of the shell. The base is the familiar DSW base: solid wood legs with black lacquered metal cross bracing, a design that combines elegance and stability.
A beautifully preserved design classic from the first generation of European production, loved by collectors and interior designers alike.
