About this vintage design furniture
Swedish teak modular wall shelf system by Olof Pira, 1960s. Rests on three floor-standing metal supports that are stabilized by three wall attachments. The shelves hang on triangular ’string’ holders that are adjustable and can be placed at will. One cabinet lights up on opening to reveal the red interior. Good vintage condition with minimal signs of age and use.

About the designer
Olof PIRA
Olof PIRA is a contemporary Swedish designer known for his work with the String furniture brand. He studied design at Lund University before embarking on a career as a freelance designer. PIRA has worked with String since 2013 and has created several iconic pieces for the brand, including the String Pocket modular bookcase and the String Works wall console.
