About this vintage design furniture
This 540 model sofa bed was designed in the 1960s and produced by the Van der Sluis Furniture Company. It is great example of functionalism and aiming at a maximally simple form. The sofa is easy to unfold as a single bed. It is reupholstered with high quality strong fabric.

About the designer
Gijs VAN DER SLUIS
Geert Van Der Sluis (1941-2008) was a Dutch designer specializing in office furniture. He studied furniture design at the Groningen School of Art in the Netherlands, where he later taught for several years.
