About this vintage design furniture
Pira freestanding shelving system designed by Olle Pira in Sweden. Produced by String Design AB during the 1960s. Made from teak shelves & grey lacquered metal stems. A cabinet with drawers, 3 stems and 8 shelves. System with multiple design options possible may be used as room divider. Very good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent to age and use.

About the designer
Olof PIRA
Olof PIRA is a contemporary Swedish designer known for his work with the String furniture brand. He studied design at Lund University before embarking on a career as a freelance designer. PIRA has worked with String since 2013 and has created several iconic pieces for the brand, including the String Pocket modular bookcase and the String Works wall console.
