About this vintage design furniture
Shelving system from the 1960s. Design by Olof Pira for String Design AB. Made in Sweden. Modular system with three dark grey lacquered metal ladders, one container with sliding doors, six shelves and one ash veneered desk with two drawers. The shelving system was professionally restored by a carpenter. Good condition with small traces of usage.

About the designer
Olof PIRA
Olof PIRA is a contemporary Swedish designer known for his work with the String furniture brand. He studied design at Lund University before embarking on a career as a freelance designer. PIRA has worked with String since 2013 and has created several iconic pieces for the brand, including the String Pocket modular bookcase and the String Works wall console.
