Vintage Rio rosewood chest of drawers

Small chest of drawers or bedside table with two drawers by Kai Kristiansen for Odder Furniture. Model 384 in Rio rosewood Ateliers Odder furniture was founded in 1952 by master cabinetmaker Aksel Kjersgaard who, after working for over three years as a journeyman throughout Europe and in Morocco, wanted to try out some of his ideas. In 1955, a workshop and exhibition hall were built. In the years that followed, Aksel Kjersgaard won his first international contracts, and from then on exported all over the world. His aim is to produce furniture that, thanks to its functionality and design, can be integrated into contemporary interiors and, thanks to the quality of its craftsmanship, can remain there for many years.
