Vintage "Windsor" bookcase with elm and solid beech shelf by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol, 1950

This magnificent bookcase (or room divider) - Windsor or "Giraffe" model - in solid elm and beech dates from the middle of the century. Beautifully designed and manufactured by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol, one of Britain's furniture manufacturing giants in the 1950s. Featuring three shelves, two of which are adjustable, and a beautifully grained solid elm pedestal with flared solid beech legs, this versatile piece is ideal for a living room, hallway, study or bedroom. Designed by Italian designer Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (UK), Ercol furniture is synonymous with design, quality materials, craftsmanship and built for longevity.
