About this vintage design furniture

An interesting breakfast set produced by the Victoria Tableware Factory in Karlovy Vary in the 1980s in the Czech Republic. The set consists of a cup, saucer and small plate. Set in purple marble painting with gilded elements. The item is in very good original condition, with minimal signs of use. Signed items Cup dimensions: height 6.5 cm | width 10 cm | diameter 8 cm Cup dimensions in inches: height 2.6 in | width 3.9 in | diameter 3.1 in The factory was founded in 1883 in Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary) by the London company Lazarus & Rosenfeld Ltd. In 1885, the company was bought by Franz Schmidt and changed its name to Porzellanfabrik Victoria Schmidt & Co. In 1927, it was transformed into a joint-stock company Porzellanfabrik Victoria AG. In 1945, the factory, together with the Altrohlau Porcelain Factory, became part of EPIAG / Starorolský Porcelán, and in 1958 they became part of Karlovarský Porcelán Stará Role II. Currently, the factory is part of Thun Karlovarský Porcelán. Reference : 299295
