A beautiful wooden 'AX' chair with armrests, designed in 1947 by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for Fritz Hansen in Denmark. This armchair is made of teak and beech wood. This combination creates a beautiful contrast. Impressive is how the curved wood frame and the attention to detail in the design go together. It is a minimalist and organic design, timeless and typical of the Mid - Century Modern style. The chair is in neat vintage condition with a nice patina in the wood and light signs of use consistent with age.
Dimensions are as follows: height 76 cm, width 61 cm and depth 60 cm. Seat height 41 cm.
