Vintage brutalist coffee table by Marcus Kingma from 1985.
This table is a handmade design by Marcus Kingma. The son of sculptor Paul Kingma, he grew up making these tables and later developed his own style aimed at the German market, making his designs rarer in the Netherlands. The round top consists of a playful composition of natural stone in different colors, bronze and concrete, artfully inlaid in a mosaic-like pattern. This gives the table a sharply defined brutalist character with a sculptural feel. The table is signed 'M. Kingma 85' (see photos).
