Product description
Rare floor lamp from the “Zonneserie” by H. Busquet – Hala Zeist, Holland
This stunning floor lamp is part of the iconic “Zonneserie” designed by Herman Busquet and produced by Hala, Zeist, Holland. Busquet, a renowned Dutch industrial designer (1914-1977), founded his own company Hala and became famous for his simplistic yet functional lighting designs. The “Sun Series” is one of his most celebrated collections, known for its innovative features.
The lamp features a yellow shade with a unique functionality: the inner shade can be rotated to allow you to choose the amount of light you want to let through, a characteristic feature of the Sun Series.
This piece is in vintage condition with visible traces of wear, but still in beautiful shape after many decades. The foot of the lamp shows some signs of age, but the overall design remains striking and elegant.
Another identical example is available for the true collector who prefers to have matching pieces in their design collection. This lamp is a testament to the simple yet coherent design principles of Busquet, where form and function work in harmony. A must-have for lovers of classic Dutch design.
