An interesting coffee set for 6 people, a Rococo style model with oriental and Hollywood Regency elements, produced in the second half of the 20th century in Germany by the Kahl Porcelain Factory. F The dessert set includes: a jug, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 plates. White porcelain, turquoise on the outside, decorated with an oriental relief, gilded. All elements were decorated by hand. The service is in good condition, shows normal signs of use. Signature on the dishes. Jug dimensions: Height 15 cm | width 20 cm | depth 12 cm Jug dimensions in inches: Height 5.9 in | width 7.9 in | depth 4.7 in On August 27, 1844, Christian Eckhardt began producing porcelain in the town of Kahla in Thuringia, Germany. Initially, the company employed 20 employees. The factory quickly became one of the leading manufacturers, first in Thuringia and then throughout Germany. In 1914, the plant was associated with the Arzberg, Hutschenreuther and Schönwald factories. During the GDR period, the porcelain factory in Kahla was nationalized and the production facilities were expanded. Over time, the headquarters of "VEB Feinkeramik" was located here, which in 1979 united 17 porcelain factories. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the company was privatized, but two years later it had to declare bankruptcy. In 1994, KAHLA/Thüringen Porzellan GmbH was re-founded. Günther Raithel became the most important shareholder. Since 2000, Kahla has been managed by the Raithel family. In 2014, the 170th anniversary of the Kahla brand was celebrated. The company employs approximately 300 employees.
