Product description
Modernist sideboard DB02 designed by Cees Braakman for UMS Pastoe, Netherlands, 1954. The name DB02 refers to Sideboard Birch number 02 and is made of birch veneer and birch plywood. This stylish piece of furniture has great early modernist features that reference earlier plywood designs by Edward Wormley and Alvar Aalto, among others. The sideboard with 2 folding doors has plenty of storage space, it lacks original drawers inside but instead has two shelves. The curved wooden legs are characteristic of the Birch series.
One of the folding doors and an opposite side are painted white. The rest has been re-finished with a high-quality UV and water-protective paint while maintaining authenticity. Also fully structural checked and ready to use.
