Product description
This striking bar cabinet from the early 1960s is a design by Louis Paolozzi, for Rene Godfrid. With its angled legs, sculptural side supports, and airy open shelving, the piece brings both character and elegance to any interior, including the R-shaped structure so typical for the designs of Paolozzi, giving them their elegant, almost futuristic look.
It’s composed of a cabinet with 2 glass sliding doors and 3 drawers underneath.
The outer part is made from mahogany, the inner part oak/oak veneer.
Perfect as a bar, display piece, or room divider, it’s as practical as it is good-looking—mid-century design doing what it does best.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age - here and there very light discoloration on the inner part/shelves of the cabinet.
Dimensions (WxHxD): 155cm x 160cm x 50cm
Did you know? We bought this beauty from its first owner on the Côte d’Azur, where it spent the first 60+ years of its life, which we believe only ads an extra touch of glamour and class to this piece!
Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age - here and there very light discoloration on the inner part/shelves of the cabinet - 1 very small chip in the glass on the side.
