About this vintage design furniture
Stunning set of 2 mid century modern bowls designed by Carlo Scarpa for Venini (Murano, Italy, 1960s). Made of thick amber/light brown glass with regularly punctured air bubbles encased in the glass. They perfectly work as catch-alls, vide poches or as ashtrays and can be used as display pieces on any table.
Dimensions:
1) Length: 9 cm; width: 9 cm; height: 5.5 cm
2) Length: 12 cm; width: 11.5 cm; height: 5 cm
Barely visible signature (3 line etch mark Venini Murano Italia) on one of the bowls. Very good vintage condition, no cracks, no chips, no fleabites.

About the designer
Carlo SCARPA
Carlo Scarpa was an Italian architect and designer, born on June 2, 1906 in Venice and died on November 28, 1978 in Sendai, Japan. He studied architecture at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as a designer for the Venini artistic glassworks.
