Dieses elegante Mid Century Modern Daybed entworfen in den 1950ern von Peter Hvidt und Orla Mølgaard Nielsen und in Dänemark von France and Daverkosen gefertigt. Der schlichte, minimalistische Entwurf aus der Minerva Reihe ist ein wunderbares Beispiel für skandinavisches Design und dänisches Handwerksgeschick. Diese Ausführung ist aus massivem Teakholz gearbeitet und hat zwei der sehr seltenen Armlehnen. Das originale Federkernpolster wurde mit neuem Schaumstoff ummantelt und mit hochwertigem Stoff von Sahco / Kvadrat neu bezogen. Das Polster liegt auf den typischen, gummierten Federgurten auf. Die keilförmige Rückenlehne und die Armlehnen werden durch verchromte Stahlstäbe gehalten. Durch den schönen Holzrahmen, der das Rückenpolster stützt, kann das Sofa auch frei im Raum gestellt werden.
Das Holzgestell weist lediglich leichte Gebrauchsspuren in Form von kleinen Kratzern und Bestoßungen auf. Die Kissen sind aufgearbeitet und neu bezogen. Das Sofa ist insgesamt in einem sehr schönem Vintage-Zustand.

This shapely and comfortable sofa was designed by Danish Designers Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France and Daverkosen. The Mid-Century daybed comes with a solid teak wood frame, two very rare armrests and with the original box spring cushions that have been updated with new foam and new upholstery. The cushions rest on the original rubber springs - a very lovely detail. The back rest and arm rests are made out of a teak wood and chrome steel and makes the back of the sofa very pleasant to look at. It can easily be used as a free standing sofa in larger rooms. The sofa comes with the manufacturer’s metal tag.
The wood shows only minor signs of wear and tear, like smaller scratches and bumbs, mainly on the lower legs. The cushions have been updated with new foam coating and new upholstery. The sofa comes in lovely condition.
