About this vintage design furniture

Vintage shelving unit designed by Louis van Teeffelen for Wébé, The Netherlands in the 1960s. This wall unit has shelves that are veneered with teak and have solid teak edges. The hardware is made from solid brass and the uprights are a black lacquered wood. This wall unit is in very good used condition. The brass elements are well patinated, this adding to the authenticity of the piece. The shelves are in excellent condition, with some signs of use including very faint rings or spots. The uprights are in good condition, showing normals signs of use. One of the adjustment bolts on the bottom of one of the uprights has been replaced with a standard bolt, thus remaining fully functional. Reference : 270294

About the designer

Louis VAN TEEFFELEN

Wim Rietveld Van Teeffelen, better known as Louis van Teeffelen, was a Dutch designer who was born in 1921 and died in 1972. He studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as a furniture designer in the 1950s.
