Rare metal candle holder from IKEA's iconic "Häll" series, designed by Anna Efverlund in 1990. This Shadow Figure shows a stylized woman in a strong and graceful pose - inspired by Bronze Age petroglyphs found in Tanum, Sweden (Vitlycke Museum). With a lit candle (a shorter one than I show), the silhouette's shadow shines on the wall. In the photos, the setting sun shows the beautiful shadow effect 😊.
A rare collectible for lovers of Scandinavian design, women's symbolism and minimalist expression. Perfect for an understated, modern or Japandi interior style - for example, on a sideboard or in a serene reading corner.
