About this vintage design furniture
This floor lamp was designed by Floris Fiedeldij and produced by Artimeta Soest in 1956 in the Netherlands. The lamp features a black circular metal base with two arms attached to a white arm attached to a red shade. The lamp is made from brass and boasts a see-saw mechanism. The lamp is called Tivoli and is considered a strong and important design example of Dutch Modernism.

Floris H. Fiedeldij was a Dutch designer who was born on January 29, 1921 in Amsterdam and died on September 3, 2004 in Baarn, Netherlands. He is best known for his work in product design and graphic motifs, notably for the Royal Tichelaar Makkum brand of ceramics.
