Vintage desk chair in chrome and nappa leather by Otto Zapf for Topstar, Germany 1970s

This Topstar office chair made of cognac colored nappa leather is in excellent condition. The leather is impeccable, the chrome base has almost no scratches. Both the rocking function and the height hydraulics work perfectly. This armchair is the variant with a short backrest. The seat height varies between 47 and 57 cm. The office chair designed by Otto Zapf in the early 1970s was first sold by Knoll Int. manufactured and later by the German office furniture manufacturer Topstar. Otto Zapf founded Vitsoe + Zapf together with Niels Vitsoe in 1958 and worked together with Dieter Rams. Reference : 255977
